North-west: A haven for sales jobs seekers?
Those looking for sales jobs in the UK may want to look to the north-west which was one of the top-performing regions in March for employment growth, research has indicated.
It was also one of the best areas in terms of output and new business, according to the Business Activity Index from analyst firm Markit, Crain's Manchester Business has reported.
The future looks good as well, with the news provider citing Markit economist Gemma Wallace as saying: "A combination of higher underlying demand, rising workloads and improving pricing power all bode well for future employment growth."
She explained that the north-west was one of the top performers in the entire of the first quarter of 2010, as "job creation picked up to a pace that was above the UK average".
People hoping to succeed in sales recruitment applications were most likely buoyed by figures from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG which indicated that the number of jobs in the UK for both permanent and temporary/contract staff increased in March.
